Before you lie to your mom...

I found this online and it is very true. So before you consider lying to your mom, at least read this. As far as dad's go....I got nothing.
~Mary

Your mother spent 9 months with a kicking, squirming small person inside her body. She spent nights with swollen feet, an aching back, she had to deal with being an emotional basketcase, she gained 30-80 pounds with you and probably lost the figure she had. She had to spend hundreds of dollars on new maternity clothes, and maybe even hundreds of dollars on clothes after you because her old ones didnt fit.
She had to go to the doctors monthly then weekly and undergo uncomfortable private exams over and over again to make sure YOU were ok, she had to have blood drawn several times, and lay in bed at night worrying about whether you would be healthy and have all your toes when you were born. SHe probably spent thousands on nursery furniture, bedding, clothing, rocking chairs etc. She had to be uncomfortable like you have never felt kind of uncomfortable during the last 2 weeks of her pregnancy so much that you really cant even sleep. Then she may have gone through 20 hours of LABOR, possibly getting a shot in HER SPINE, (not fun at ALL) to try to alleviate the pain that is unlike any you have even known yet for a second.
Then she had to push an 8 lb baby out of her, which is just impossible it seems at every moment.
WHY????????
For that beautiful baby girl that she dedicated every single moment of her life for almost a year for..........to lie to her.?
Why on earth would you consider being anything than completely honest and loving, and kind and grateful and thankful to the woman that you are lucky enough to call mom.
She will be gone before you know it, and late at night when you are in bed when your 20 or 30 or 40... your mind will wander to your mom...
and what you wish you could have taken back. What you wish you could have done differently. How you cant believe you behaved this way towards the most wonderful person in the world to you.
