40 beauty question tag

I thought this would be an easy fun and quick post to do! :)

MAKE-UP
What foundation do you use?
I don't wear foundation on a daily basis, but I own several...none of HG (Holy Grail) status, sadly :(
Anyhow, I own Dior Forever Compact (powder), Loreal True Match (liquid), Revlon Colorstay (liquid), MAC SF (powder), and MAC SFF (studio Fix Fluid- liquid).

How about concealer?
I own one from Loreal - the True Match, but it's way off and the Maybelline Dream Mousse. I obviously need some help in the skin coverup area! :) But I have a few written down that I want to try out soon.

Do you know your undertone color?
I think I do! This is what I'm trying to figure out, and it will give me better luck with everything else I think. I was matched as an NW (meaning Not Warm; so cool) which generally has pink undertones. But I don't think I am a true PINK PINK NW, I might be neutral-ish pink. Definitely not yellow or olive though. SO confusing, I know!

What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I love them! I've only been able to wear them once (homecoming) but I think they're tons of fun, especially if I am going to be able to get the hang of it! (they ended up coming off :P) I really REALLY love the look they give though! Especially if you have a pretty neutral eye and a soft lip going, that extra OOMPH from false lashes gives such a GORGEOUS feminine and elegant touch!

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
FO SHO! And you better be doing it girls! Makeup is no fun with eye infections :( THROW IT OUT! (that means it's time to take a trip the store for more mu! YAY for hauls!)

What brand of mascara do you use?
Haha, well I constantly switch, and I'm playing around with different ones (experimenting is so much fun!) but I lost the most recent one I bought (Maybelline Full n Soft - LOVE) so I'm using up a BB (Bobbi Brown) perfectly defined sample I got. I LOVE the length it gives but it's not fun to try to get off!

Sephora or MAC?
Ouch! this is a toughie! It's like me asking you to choose a favorite child or pet! :( I like them both for different reasons! I know that is not really an option, but Sephora has more variety, where as MAC, you kinda know what to expect or more of what you know you like :) both are tons of fun though! LOVE LOVE LOVE them both! :)

Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
Nope :( Maybe someday!

What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Brushes...fingers (wash them 1st thou!), sponges...that's about it! :)

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
For sure! This is CRUCIAL! I didn't realize how important it was, but especially with my super oily lids! Ick! UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion) is a good option...sadly it creases on me a bit, so I'm going to hopefully grab a MAC PP (paintpot) and layer them! :) There are lots of choices though, don't limit yourself!

For the face?
Trying to find a HG one right now, I think that will help my HG foundation hunt easier! I am trying out the Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel and it's not working as well as I had hoped to keep the icky oilies at bay. :( I'm a little nervous to try out more b/c I'm so sensitive and acne prone, but I have a few samples! But it's all about trial and error!

What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Again, this is mean! Well, for sure my purples are VERY loved! Not only b/c purple is my favorite color, but also because purple compliments green! Also, I've been enjoying peachy-pinks and browns :)

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Depends on what I'm using it for/where, but both about equally for the top lashline and ALWAYS pencil for the lower lashline/waterline. I also have been using a bit of gel recently :)

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Suprisingly enough, rarely :)


What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
Well, if you've read any other's answers to this tag, mine will probably be redundant, sorry! I think they're beautiful and fun and have lovely payoff :) however, they are EXTREMELY messy! I guess it could just be my usual clumsy self that could add to the difficulty of getting it on the eye, but idk! A little goes a long way, and overall the payoff is SO worth it (especially foiled).

Do you use mineral makeup?
Nope! I've heard the horror stories of cystic acne breakouts and I'm steering clear for right now :) I figure if I'm going to wear foundation, it might as well be worth it and full on liquid and not just mineral. I guess it could be some pretty nice coverage, but mehh, not for me I think.

What is your favorite lipstick?
I'm just getting into lipstick, so I don't have one yet :( But as a pre-guess I have a feeling it'll be a baby or bright pink!

How about lipgloss?
Probably Spell Cosmetics Bubble Gum Princess :) LUV!

What is your favorite blush to use?
Starting to get into that too :P.....probably Sue Devitt Belize ATM. :) As spring and summer near I'll probably be reaching for pinks/corals etc! I'm really lemming (wanting) Coralista (from Benefit) and Ripe Peach (from MAC) right now.

Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
Nope! My advice is to just steer clear of evilbay ladies! SO SO SO many fakes on there, you wouldn't believe it!

Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yeah! Like HE (high end) there can be hit and misses, but the basis of my collection before MUA was D/s :) there are some gems, you just gotta find em!


Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
Ok, well the exciting news is that I'm fortunate enough to have one within like 20 minutes! i've walked by it like 2 or 3 times, I was just too scared to go in! haha, I know, so stupid. I will try next time!

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
Of course! I need all the help I can get! LOL. I hope I have the opportunity to, that would be so fun! =)

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Haha yes, I have my BAD days and my okay-ish days. Thankfully not always though, I'm ok by now. =)

Name a makeup crime that you hate?
So many! Drawn on eyebrows, too much eyeliner (usually engulfing BEAUTIFUL eyes!), clumpy or spidery mascara...and my most HATED one of all- too dark/light of foundation! That bugs the crapola out of me! I hope I never fall guilty of that! Ugh! *shutters*

Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
Both, it usually just depends on my mood. Sometimes I try to re-create a look or do inspired looks though. Rarely do I "plan" my makeup, unless it's for like an upcoming formal event...etc. Or if I specifically want to incorporate a product into my product usage that day.

Which celebrity always has great make up?
OMG, so many! I've been loving Kristen Stewart's lately....Blake Lively, usually Miley Cyrus' and Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato....Carrie Underwood, so many!


If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Hard! Probably eyeliner...or maybe mascara.

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yeah, but it'd be a killer on my self esteem! I guess I don't "need" it, but I love LOVE it! :)

Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
Yeah, I guess. Usually it all comes down on whether I'm having a good skin day or not. Although, I love it when you wake up in the morning (*sings* feeling like P. DIDDY!) and you look like a cute little baby! :)


In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I don't think there is one "BEST" makeup line (or at least that I have found so far) but there are lots of good ones :) For d/s (drugstore) I like Revlon and Maybelline so far and HE (high end) lots, but MAC (no, duh), NARS and clinique :)

What do you think of Makeup??
haha, well obviously I love it! I could write a super long paragraph about this, but I think it's a fun way to express yourself. It literally has limitless options, it's a fun hobby and it always fits! (even when you over-indulge in chocolate!)
